The Residential Services Lead is a member of the clinical team that provides compassionate care and assistance to persons who struggle with intellectual, developmental, and behavioral health challenges and require assistance to achieve their fullest potential. The Residential Services Lead provides the assistance necessary to allow the clients we serve to live independently and ensure their wellness, health and safety. The Residential Services Lead, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides a wide range of services to meet the environmental, physical, psychological, and personal needs of the persons in our case. Duties of the position:

  • Communicates consistently with the Core Team
  • Conducts daily PSR reviews to ensure accuracy
  • Conducts daily MAR reviews to ensure completion
  • Conducts daily reviews of GERs
  • Conducts daily reviews of all ISPs
  • Completes daily checklists as assigned
  • Responds to monthly nursing audits to ensure compliance with DDDS rules and regulations
  • Assists with scheduling and maintaining appropriate staff to consumer ratios
  • Ensures that all medical appointments are created in Therap, follow-up appointments are scheduled, prescriptions are faxed to the pharmacy and arrangements are made for the pick-up of medications
  • Attends and participates in required LSPs, staff meetings, house meetings and all other meetings as deemed relevant
  • Collaborates with the Core Team to respond to all OQI and PM46 reports in a timely manner
  • Ensures staff compliance with required trainings by consistently communicating with the IDS Executive Director
  • Assists with daily living activities, including preparing meals, housekeeping, and assisting with personal hygiene
  • Supports the independence of persons served by providing the assistance necessary to maximize their quality of life
  • Models hope and optimism when encouraging persons served to achieve their potential
  • Supports supervision and guidance to person served to build skills and competence
  • Documents interactions and activities per policies and procedures
  • Monitors and responds to crisis situations or potential crisis situations consistent with the organizations policies and procedures
  • Utilizes skills and competencies to respond to crises
  • Reports suspected incidents of neglect, abuse or mistreatment consistent with the organizations policies and procedures
  • Maintains client confidentiality and adheres to the organizations ethical code
  • Assists in maintaining the well-being and safety of persons served

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience supporting people who struggle with intellectual, developmental, or behavioral health challenges preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Computer knowledge of MS Office, and other HR applications is a plus, not required.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proactive, organized, and possess great follow-up skills.
  • Must have the skill/ability to collaborate, partner with, and provide exceptional customer support to a variety of affiliate partners within the organization.
  • 3 years of motor vehicle record and a valid DE drivers license
