Permanency Adoption Specialist

Department: CHOR-FOSTER CARE AND ADOPTION
Location: Reading, PA

The Children's Home of Reading Youth and Family Services is seeking a Full Time Permanency Specialist for our Adoption Program, servicing the Berks and surrounding counties. Position provides SWAN adoption services to children and families preparing them for permanency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, or human services field REQUIRED.
  • Experience with children, youth and families preferred.
  • One year verified experience in SWAN adoption work preferred.
  • Must be available and willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must hold a valid PA driver's license and a good driving record, with proof of auto insurance coverage. Must hold own liability insurance.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Bilingual a plus

Additional Requirements: The candidate must pass required Criminal Record History Clearance, FBI and Child Abuse History Clearance, as well as possess a valid PA Driver's License. The candidate must pass a Physical & Drug Screening & possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all required trainings
