Summary of Essential Duties:
As a Program Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing individual and group therapy for youth according to their unique needs and treatment plans. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Offering weekly individual therapy sessions for each youth, with a focus on family involvement when appropriate
  • Creating a strengths-based therapeutic environment to promote healthy youth development
  • Providing staff training and clinical consultation to enhance their competency and role functioning
  • Overseeing behavior management plans and interventions, and offering support for crisis intervention as needed
  • Assisting with the admissions process by reviewing referrals and determining appropriate levels of care
  • Co-facilitating case conferences to engage staff in implementing service plans
  • Introducing and maintaining evidence-based best practices for residential care
  • Maintaining timely and complete clinical records, documenting all clinical services provided

Qualifications:
We are seeking a licensed master's level clinician with a degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, along with:

  • A license to practice independently in NJ including LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, PhD.
  • Masters level therapist licensed in NJ including LSW and LAC who will achieve full independent licensure in appropriate timeframe will be considered.
  • At least three years of post-graduate experience providing clinical services to youth and/or families
  • A strengths-based orientation to working with youth and families
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills
  • Cultural competency and flexibility
  • A sense of humor and a passion for making a difference in the lives of others
