ASSISTANT PROGRAM COORDINATOR - Allegheny, County

Department: Supportive Concepts for Families
Location: Carnegie, PA

SCFF is currently seeking:

  • Full-Time Assistant Program Coordinator (APC) in the South-Western, PA region
  • Sign-on Bonus: $1,000
  • Pay rate range from $17 to $19 per hour depending on experience, education and the needs of the person served.
  • Unlimited Referral Bonus – up to $1000 per person referred.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass a physical, drug screening, and tuberculosis test and background checks.
  • Must be available for ON CALL - fill open shifts – including weekends as needed
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with individuals with IDD and Mental Health Diagnoses
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills/detail oriented.
  • Two or more years of experience in human services or direct care

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight of the Group Home
  • Supervise and direct the work of Residential Specialists to include the following:
    • Medical Appointments/ medication management in conjunction with the Program Coordinator.
    • Complete requirements to become a Medication Administration Observer
    • Monitor medications for refills and reconcile weekly medications with the PC upon delivery prior to the start of each week.
    • Ensure staff administering medications have completed and are current in medication administration training.
    • On Call - Participate in on call rotation.
    • Training - in conjunction with the Program Coordinator Monitor compliance list and inform staff of upcoming training needs.
    • Conduct and observe medication practicums for employees.
    • Mentor and provide ongoing feedback and indicate areas of improvement regarding job performance.
    • Complete accurate and timely employee performance evaluations prior to the due date.
